My Story…
I was diagnosed with migraines over 35 years ago and it has impacted my life ever since. This is the first event I have ever seen that actually focuses on migraines, research, training for providers and advocacy. Research on migraines has made progress in recent years and I have benefited from new medications and treatments.
As many of you know, migraines have a significant impact on my life. I take daily medications, I receive Botox injections every 12 weeks (36 injections on my head, face, neck and shoulders as a migraine treatment), and I never leave home without rescue medications. I go to a chiropractor, acupuncturist and massage therapist monthly. Managing migraines is a lot.
I hope you will consider donating a few dollars to this organization in my honor, to support their work of increasing research, funding fellowships for medical providers to specialize in migraines, providing patient advocacy and education, and raising awareness of this disease.
