Paul Wawryko Memorial Scholarship

In memory of Dr. Paul Wawryko, an endowment fund was established through proceeds from the Paul Wawryko Memorial Run and gifts from his family, friends, and colleagues at the University of Manitoba in 2024. The purpose of the fund is to support a pathology resident or fellow towards educational activities in the Department of Pathology at the Max Rady College of Medicine. Specific examples of educational activities that are eligible such as presenting at a scientific meeting, attending an educational pathology course, or completing a beneficial external pathology elective. Each year, beginning in 2026- 2027, the available annual income from the fund will be used to offer one scholarship to a resident or fellow.
