Why I’m Taking on This Challenge
Description
I’m taking on the Dwellingup100 / Mighty Jarrah Trail Run to raise funds for Neuromuscular WA and the hundreds of Western Australians living with neuromuscular conditions.
These conditions can affect strength, movement, breathing and independence - often from childhood, and the impact reaches far beyond health. It affects education, work, relationships, confidence and the ability to participate in everyday life.
Neuromuscular WA exists to change that.
Through their Support for Life approach, they provide practical, emotional and social support that helps people navigate life with a disability - connecting families to services, reducing isolation, building resilience and making sure no one falls through the gaps.
This includes counselling, system navigation, social connection programs, advocacy, equipment support and Grants that help people live with greater independence and dignity.
I’m challenging myself to help make sure this support continues for the more than 800 people who rely on it today and the many more who will need it tomorrow.
Every donation directly helps someone access the support they need to keep moving forward in their own life, in their own way.
If you can, please back this challenge. It means more than just a challenge - it means real support, for real people, when it matters most 💙
