Riding for Reuben

For the 12th year, I’ll be taking on the C Wise Dwellingup 100 for Neuromuscular WA.

And in true Dwelly spirit, I’ll be riding for someone who inspires me endlessly, Reuben Cheuk.

Reuben is 24 and lives with congenital muscular dystrophy. I’ve had the privilege of riding for Reuben since the very beginning, and together we’ve raised nearly $80,000 for Neuromuscular WA.

Reuben is one of those people who leaves an impression. He’s incredibly smart, kind, funny and positive, and I’m constantly inspired by the way he approaches life. He recently completed two degrees at UWA, which is just another example of the determination and drive he brings to everything he does.

This year, I’m hoping to raise $7,000 to support people living with neuromuscular conditions across WA.

Every dollar raised helps Neuromuscular WA provide practical support, counselling, advocacy, equipment, connection and so much more to people and families in our community.

Dwelly 100 is always a challenge, but every year I’m reminded that this is just one day. For many people living with a neuromuscular condition, navigating challenges and adapting to what their body can do is part of everyday life.

So, I’ll be getting back on the bike for Reuben for another year. I’d love for you to get behind us too.
