My Story…
I will be participating in a 5k run/walk to raise funds and support groundbreaking ALS research (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) at Sunnybrook Hospital's Brain Sciences Centre to help find a cure ALS. Our Church, Central United Church in Unionville, is undertaking this fundraiser in honour of our fellow and longtime Church member, Lynne Pulenzas, who used to enjoy running the trails in Unionville and is now suffering from this horrible disease. Along with other Church Members, I am on the organizing team for this walk/run in our community. We are very encouraged that Sunnybrook is leading the way in global ALS research, using MRI guided ultrasound to break the blood brain barrier and deliver medicine to where it's needed. All funds raised will go to Sunnybrook Foundation. A donation receipt will be issued moments after you donate. Thank you very much for considering to support this very worthwhile cause.
