Start/Finish Line Crew

This role includes:
Managing the flow of athletes into the start corral ahead of each Yard
Supporting a clean, organized, and clearly marked start/finish area
Helping ensure each hourly start runs on time and without disruption
Supporting basic timing and lap tracking — assisting with athlete counts, noting completions, and flagging discrepancies
Acting as a conduit to the timing team for any questions or edge cases
Communicating key timing cues and directions to participants
Keeping a watchful eye on the space — flagging issues and supporting safety as needed
Bringing calm, clarity, and energy to the most time-sensitive part of the course
Every hour starts here.

Set-Up and Tear-Down Crew
Set-Up & Tear-Down volunteers bring UNFINISHED to life — and see it through.
Before the first Yard begins, and after the final one ends, this team builds the environment that makes the day possible.
This role includes:
Assisting with event build — tents, signage, barricades, and key infrastructure across the site
Supporting layout and organization of Athlete Village, course elements, and shared spaces
Working alongside event leads to ensure everything is in the right place, ready to go
Assisting with tear-down — breaking down, packing, and restoring the site efficiently and responsibly
Bringing a hands-on, team-first mindset to a role that sets the foundation for everything else
From first light to final pack-down — this is where it all starts, and where it’s carried through.

Athlete Village Team
The Athlete Village Team will keep the experience grounded.
At the centre of it all — within recovery zones, nutrition areas, team spaces, and shared hospitality — you help create the environment runners return to, Yard after Yard.
This role includes:
Supporting athletes and teams within recovery areas — helping them reset, refuel, and prepare for what’s next
Assisting with hydration and nutrition stations — restocking, organizing, and maintaining cleanliness
Helping ensure quick, efficient access to fuel between Yards
Maintaining a clean, functional, and welcoming Athlete Village environment
Monitoring athlete wellbeing — keeping a watchful eye as fatigue builds over time
Acting as a conduit to medical teams when support is needed
Answering questions, guiding participants, and helping everyone find what they need
Bringing steady energy and awareness to a space that evolves throughout the day
Between effort and recovery — this is where the day takes shape.
Run • Recover • Repeat — it all comes back here.
Participant / Volunteer Check-In + Bag Check
Check-In & Registration volunteers set the tone.
Your front door — where the day begins, and where first impressions are made.
This role includes:
Managing participant check-in and bib distribution efficiently and accurately
Supporting waiver verification and troubleshooting any registration issues
Directing athletes to key areas — Athlete Village, start flow, and course access
Helping reduce friction early — answering questions and keeping lines moving
Creating a welcoming, organized, and high-energy arrival experience

Course Marshals
Course Management keeps the Yard moving.
Positioned along the loop and across key points on course, you help maintain the flow, safety, and rhythm of the environment — hour after hour.
This role includes:
Guiding runners to stay on course — every Yard, every lap
Bringing energy and encouragement when it’s needed most
Supporting traffic and pedestrian awareness alongside event staff
Monitoring the course environment — identifying hazards and communicating clearly when needed
Maintaining course markings, signage, and key touchpoints throughout the day
Supporting ongoing set/reset of the course — adapting to changing conditions, light, and flow between Yards
You’re part of the experience as much as the environment — helping the course evolve as the day unfolds.
All Course Management volunteers must be 18+.
Event Partner Support
Partner Support volunteers help bring the experience to life.
Working alongside sponsors and charitable partners, you will help ensure each on-site presence is set up, supported, and integrated into the day's flow.
This role includes:
Supporting partner set-up and on-site needs across activation spaces
Acting as a point of contact — helping partners navigate the site and stay aligned with the event schedule
Assisting with product, signage, and activation elements to ensure a smooth experience
Helping maintain partner areas so they remain clean, organized, and engaging throughout the day
Facilitating connection points between partners, participants, and the broader event environment
Bringing a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to support both partner needs and overall event flow
This is where brand, community, and experience come together — in real time.

Identifying and flagging key athlete stories as they emerge
