Volunteer Information
Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering for the Broncos 7K!
You will find preliminary details below regarding the available positions, estimated arrival times, and a brief description of duties. If you have more detailed questions please reach out to michelle@halsports.net. Otherwise, we welcome you to select the position(s) you are most interested in and get yourself all signed up!
Volunteering at the advance packet pickup on Saturday enables you to still take part in the 7K itself, seperate registration is required. Volunteering on event day brings you in for the excitement and energy of event day. Some roles, such as registration/bib pickup leave opportunity for volunteers to double up and move over to finish line support once their early duties have been completed.
For those of you who have helped in the past, thank you and welcome back! For all the first timers, welcome, we look forward to meeting you!
Broncos 7K Volunteer Role Descriptions
Bib Pickup Volunteers:
- Saturday prior to Race Day
- Arrival: 9:15 AM at the south side of the stadium (near the Team Store)
- Duties:
- Assist with fulfillment and distribution of pre-registered participants’ t-shirts and race bibs
- If any registrants have issues, direct them to the solutions tent
- Remind all registrants about the team store discount valid only on packet pick-up day
Race Day Registration/Bib Pickup Volunteers:
- Sunday/Race Day
- Arrival: 6:00 AM for 8:00 AM race start time,
- Location: Report to Lot G, after parking in Lot J
- Duties:
- Distribute bibs with timing chips, and t-shirts to pre-registered participants
- If any registrants have issues, direct them to the solutions tent
- Direct participants to the start line
Water Station Volunteers:
- Sunday/Race Day
- Arrival: 6:30 AM for 8:00 AM race start time
- Location: Report to Lot G, after parking in Lot J, be prepared to walk back to your cars to head to the station along the course
- Duties:
- Prepare and hand out water cups to runners
- Encourage and cheer on participants as they pass
- Help keep station area clean (dispose of cups, maintain safe footing, teardown after last participants)
Cheering Volunteers:
- Sunday/Race Day
- Arrival: 7:00 AM for 8:00 AM race start time
- Location: Check in at Mane Street after parking in Lot J
- Duties:
- Provide energy and encouragement to runners along the course or at the finish line
- Create encouraging signs!
- Help create a positive, exciting race atmosphere
- Cheer alongside Denver Broncos Junior Cheerleaders!
Post-Finish Line Support Volunteers:
- Sunday/Race Day
- Arrival: 7:00 AM for 8:00 AM race start time
- Location: Check in at Mane Street after parking in Lot J
- Duties:
- Hand out water and medals to race finishers
- Guide participants toward Mane Street for finishers’ festival
- Remind finishers of complimentary snacks and beer vouchers for those 21+
