Alex Guercia Memorial 5K

We’re honored to gather once again as a community to celebrate the life and legacy of Alex Guercia, who passed away on June 12, 2021, in a motor vehicle accident—just weeks after graduating from Kennesaw Mountain High School.

Alex was a proud Mustang and a talented athlete. He swam for Tidal Wave Swim Club, the Harrison High School swim team, and later for Kennesaw Mountain High School during his senior year. He also ran Cross Country at Harrison High School his freshman year.

Beyond sports, Alex was known for his kindness, compassion, and genuine appreciation for others. It was not uncommon to see him walk up to a Veteran at a restaurant or store to personally thank them for their service.

In his memory, Alex’s family created a scholarship that supports two KMHS students each year, helping them pursue their education and dreams—just as Alex was preparing to do.

Every step taken and every donation made helps extend Alex’s legacy of kindness, ambition, and community spirit.
