My Story…
Did you know Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, but when caught early, it has an approximately 95% cure rate?
I'm running a 5K to support The Purple Promise Foundation and their mission to fight melanoma. They are a small but mighty organization located here in Charlotte that is making a big impact in Melanoma research. Donations help fund groundbreaking melanoma research, provide sunscreen stations and prevention programs in our communities, and raise awareness about the importance of early detection.
Sadly, the founders of Purple Promise lost their daughter, Jessica, at age 30, to Melanoma. Through efforts like The Southend 5k Shuffle, The Purple Promise able to donate 100K grant to Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute to support Melanoma immunotherapy research focused on improving outcomes for patients with recurrent melanoma. Please take a moment to read more about Jessica story here: https://www.purplepromise.org/jessicas-story/
Please help me raise money for this wonderful organization that is making a difference in saving lives for those diagnosed with melanoma.
Thank you in advance for your support!
