In August 2023, after a routine breast MRI, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 invasive lobular carcinoma in my left breast and lymph nodes. While I knew I was high risk for breast cancer due to having the PALB-2 gene, this came as a shock. I felt healthy and strong and had no symptoms. Lobular carcinoma does not form a mass.
