On September 20th 2025, when Yara was just 10 months old, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms tumor. Following months of doctor visits without clear answers, we were rushed to the hospital where care providers discovered a four-inch tumor that had completely consumed her kidney. Thanks to her incredible medical team at Levine Children’s Hospital, she underwent a successful nephrectomy and tumor resection, though that was only the beginning of her treatment.

Today, Yara is nearly two years old and has officially completed six months of chemotherapy and radiation. While her health journey is ongoing, our family is deeply committed to sharing her story with a positive and hopeful outlook for all families despite such a devastating diagnosis.
