Help Alister raise money

Where were you when cancer first entered your life? I was just a kid, about 7 or 8, when a boy in my class, Simon, was diagnosed with leukemia. At that age, you’re supposed to worry about spelling tests and recess, not chemotherapy and hospital stays. It was the first time I realized that cancer doesn’t wait for adulthood. That experience stayed with me. It shaped the way I see this disease and the people it touches. And it’s why I’m running this year. I’m running to help raise the age of those affected by cancer—so fewer children have to learn the word before they learn long division, so more families get to hold onto childhood a little longer, and so we can push this disease further and further out of people’s lives. Every step is for a future where “Where were you when cancer entered your life?” can be answered with “Much, much later.”
