This year we lost a dear friend to cancer. Haleigh had a phrase she'd say no matter what she was facing: "on the bright side." That's how she moved through the world, and it's how we want to honor her.

Bailey and I are running the 10K at the 3rd Annual Cancer Champions Walk-Run-Roll on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at River Walk Park in West Sacramento, with the kids along for the ride in the stroller. We'd love for you to join us, whether that's the 1 mile, 5K, 10K, or the virtual option from wherever you are. If you can't make it, a donation to the cause means just as much.

Proceeds fund personalized fitness, nutrition, and mindset guidance for people on a cancer journey. It's a way to turn grief into something that helps someone else's "bright side."
