My Story…
Most of you know that I live with Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a rare genetic neurological condition. While my clinical trial appointments take me to Melbourne, I’ve relied on Barwon Health many times over the years for emergency care after falls, fractures and other unexpected health issues. Their care has always been there when I’ve needed it most.
Barwon Health also holds a very special place in our family’s story. Our daughter, Milla, was born at just 28 weeks and was critically unwell. After receiving specialist care in Melbourne, she returned to the Special Care Nursery at Barwon Health, where she was looked after for many weeks. The incredible doctors, nurses and staff played a huge part in helping her become the happy, healthy young woman she is today.
This is why I’m proud to support Run4Geelong. Every dollar raised helps Barwon Health continue providing life-changing care to local families, just like ours. Thank you so much for joining my team x
