My Story…
I am doing Run 4 Geelong to raise money for our Emergency Department!
We have a pretty great team in ED...we might survive on caffeine, adrenaline & dark humour a but we turn up every day (and night!) to care for people on some of their absolute worst days.
Our ED does amazing things with the resources we have, but a little extra support can make a BIG difference! Who knows, with a little extra funding maybe I won't have to go hunting anymore for a BP cuff that actually fits :)
After almost 300 consecutive days of running 5km EVERY SINGLE DAY, I briefly toyed with the idea of tackling the half marathon. Because surely running 5km every day means I can just casually knock out 21km, right?! Thankfully, Mills talked some sense into me and reminded me that I would, in fact, probably die. And while I have complete faith in my ED colleagues, I'd rather not end up on the other side :)
So here's where you come in…
I'm shamelessly asking my friends and family to part with some of their hard-earned cash!
No amount is too small. $5, $10, $20… I'll happily accept donations of any size.
And remember… you never know when you or someone you love might need us.
