My Story…
I’m running because I know what it’s like to fight for freedom.
This year, I’m running the 10K in support of The Running on Faith Project, but this race represents so much more than crossing a finish line.
I’m running because recovery has changed my life.
Addiction is a part of my story, but it is no longer what defines me. Through recovery, I’ve discovered healing, purpose, and hope. Along the way, I also rediscovered the joy of moving my body. Running has become more than exercise, it has become a reminder that every step forward is a step away from the life I once knew and a step toward the life God has called me to live.
Most importantly, I’ve experienced the faithfulness of God throughout this journey. There were moments when I didn’t think change was possible, yet He continued to meet me with grace, strength, and mercy every single day. Recovery isn’t something I’ve walked through alone. The Lord has carried me through the darkest moments of my life and continues to guide me, one step at a time.
I’m raising funds for The Running on Faith Project because they are helping bring hope, encouragement, and community to people walking their own road to recovery. Every donation helps provide support to someone who may be struggling, reminding them that healing is possible and that they don’t have to walk this journey alone.
Whether you’re able to give financially or simply cheer me on, thank you for being part of this journey. Your encouragement, prayers, and support mean more than you know.
Every kilometre I run is a reminder that recovery is lived one step at a time. My prayer is that this race will not only raise funds but also raise hope, that anyone who is struggling would know that freedom is possible, healing is real, and with God, there is always a new beginning.
