My Story…
I started my recovery about 10 months ago, my second try at it, last year in December. I was struggling with Marijuana addiction for more than 15 years and it was a constant, exhausting battle. Now I'm 286 days sober. It sucked the life out of me. It became a priority which I knew was not a good choice. It was a daily struggle that took a toll on my life. Just smoke, work, eat, sleep and repeat. The consequences have been heartbreaking. I've lost friendships along the way and it affected my physical and mental health in ways I never thought possible. Taking part in the 5KM run for sobriety is a meaningful way for me to celebrate my progress, recognize my strength, and offer support to fellow individuals who are on their own journey towards sobriety. This event will hold a very special place in my heart. All proceeds will go to the Canadian Mental Health Association within BC. Supporting recovery and a second chance! Thank you for your time and I appreciate all your support !!
