Families journey through many twists and turns, through seasons of health and illness, and my extended family is no exception. As I reflect on the ways my Uncle Gordon, Uncle Ted, and Uncle Rick invested in my life, I feel incredibly grateful to have had them as part of my journey. In a family full of boys, they had a special way of making me feel valued and loved from the very beginning.

Although I can no longer laugh with them or hug them, having lost each of them to cancer, their impact on my life remains. I walk in their honour, celebrating who they were, the love they gave so freely, and the lasting legacy they leave behind. Through this walk, I also support the important care and compassion that Wellwood provides to individuals and families navigating their own cancer journeys.
