Help Chris raise money

Hey there everyone! It's that time of year again! I'll once again be participating in Walk for Camp Wendake, this year it will take place August 16th... and I'd love it if you'd consider donating/sponsoring me! This is the 6th year for this event! For many who know me, the cause is very near and dear to me. Camp Wendake is an incredible place, and I've been fortunate to meet a lot of incredible people through it. I've introduced many friends to it as well; many who've gone on to become fellow staff members/volunteers at the camp, and various events for it.

Not only am I part of the Camp Wendake Leadership Team at the camp, but I'm also an active member of the Camp Wendake Governance Committee; currently serving as one of the committee Co-Chairs.

For those needing some more information on the camp:

Camp Wendake is a one-week retreat camp located just outside of Bayfield, for children and adults living with HIV/AIDS and their primary care givers. This camp gives those infected and affected by this disease a chance to be in a supportive environment with peers facing similar challenges in their daily lives. It is the only camp of its kind, in Ontario.  Camp Wendake promotes spiritual healing, physical well-being, and a chance for social interaction, which many people living with HIV/AIDS do not otherwise have. The camp welcomes approximately 80+ campers and another 40+ volunteers from across Ontario. Operational costs for the weeklong retreat are approximately $40,000->$45,000, covering everything from meals to transportation. We rely on private and corporate donations to cover all these costs as we have no government funding.

Camp Wendake was created in 1996...and since then has provided more than 2000 participants with an opportunity to be in “a place set apart”. Camp Wendake is staffed and governed entirely by community volunteers.
