My Story…
5 years in- but a forever mark in the future of helping others. Chris' family and friends turned grief into a movement. I applaud and support them in the memory of Chris- and his positive mark on this corner of the world. This year I will walk the 5K with my special bud Scotty- as I've often walked this route with him over our 30 years of friendship. Description
I am participating in A Run for Chris in honour of Chris Owens. On August 20, 2021, at the age of 26, Chris lost his battle with mental health and substance use.
This year, we’re raising funds for St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s Cleghorn Early Intervention Clinic, which supports youth aged 16–35 experiencing early psychosis through a specialized interprofessional team.
Early intervention can make a life-changing difference—supporting recovery, independence, relationships, education, and employment.
