My Story…
Hi Friends,
On August 22, I’ll be walking in the Tours de Turns 5K to raise awareness and money for Nourish Up.
I’ve been delivering meals (Meals on Wheels) for over 10 years and yet to get tired of it. I get to explore different areas of Mecklenburg County - Huntersville, Mint Hill, Myers Park, University City, Steele Creek - and meet interesting people. I am always greeted with a smile, a short chat about the weather, a request to assist with a minor task, sometimes a critique of my wardrobe (7 out of 10 - ha!) and always a humble thank you.
Please cheer me on and help me support Nourish Up who assists over 200,000 people in Mecklenburg County, including hardworking families (over 41% of grocery recipients are working), children, veterans, and seniors who face food insecurity.
