Our story…
In January, 2014, Gary Brennan's world was totally changed by a serious auto crash. He should have died, but he did not. The area of his brain injuries should have left him fully aphasic, but they did not. He could have become angry, sullen, and withdrawn, but he did not. Instead, he called out to God for help, began attending a support group sponsored by the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts, and became Gary 2.0!
Today, Gary serves others by visiting brain injury survivors who are inpatients at Spaulding Cape Cod Rehab Hospital as a Family/Friend Liaison as well as co-facilitating support groups for brain injury survivors and their families for BIAMA.
Gary knows that God heard his cry for help all those years ago and is grateful for the privilege of being able to encourage others on their road to being more than survivors - they can be THRIVERS!
Such a large part of being a thriver himself is due to the services of BIAMA. Please consider a donation to BIAMA in recognition of Team G 2.0 to help them continue their much needed effective work.
