Turkey Trot at Tradition

The Turkey Trot Tradition, Inc. board is so proud to have brought one of the most popular 5K Run/Walk events to Tradition in Port St. Lucie!

Our organizers, Dana Bradley, Corinne Lexer, and Jared Key came together to create this event in 2018 after Dana formed an unofficial Turkey Trot from a Facebook post on Thanksgiving 2017. 

Dana Bradley is a Florida native who grew up participating in the Tampa Bay Turkey Trot in Clearwater with her family and friends for more than 25 years. Thanksgiving has always been Dana’s favorite holiday, and the family traditions, Turkey Trot included, are what make the day so special to her. 

Corinne Lexer brings a lifelong history of running experience as well as community volunteerism to the team. Corinne is an active Real Estate Agent, specializing in Tradition and the surrounding area and a long-standing member of the Treasure Coast running community. 

Jared Key got involved with the event due to his passion to serve the community. He is the owner and chiropractor of Key Chiropractic on Gatlin Boulevard. Jared previously developed and ran a 5K event in Georgia for a local domestic violence shelter and raised donations of over $10,000 each year. 

The Turkey Trot at Tradition has donated over $180,000 to local organizations such as HANDS of St. Lucie County, New Horizons, Family Meals, and the Treasure Coast Food Bank. The proceeds for the 2026 Turkey Trot at Tradition will be donated to New Horizons, Treasure Coast Food Bank, and new this year: The St. Lucie County Education Foundation. 

The Turkey Trot at Tradition has become the largest footrace on the Treasure Coast, and is becoming a long-standing tradition in Tradition!
