Help Katie raise money

In February 2022, we found out we were pregnant. 

In April 2022, I was past the 12 week mark so we announced to our boys, parents, family and friends, and all of Facebook that we were not only pregnant but going to have a baby girl! After 3 boys, the excitement and love surrounding this baby girl was already abundant. 

The planning began.
I bought a couple outfits. One even had a matching headband.
We started a list of baby girl names, and knew pretty quickly what her name was going to be (Our original choice was not Trinity, that came later...)
I learned how to crochet and made my first baby blanket. It was purple, my favorite color.
I began pinning ideas for her bedroom decor on Pinterest - rainbows!
I bought fleece fabric to make a blanket. I had made one for each of my boys.

Our joy was crushed at a routine ultrasound at 16 weeks. You hold your breath every time the tech puts the probe on your belly while you wait to hear "there's the heartbeat!" But instead we heard, "have you had any cramping or bleeding?" and "I'll be right back." After what feels like an eternity, a doctor comes in and tells us what we already know and dread. That there is no heartbeat and our baby has passed.

You don't know this kind of grief, until you know. Your whole world freezes and stops while everyone else continues to just live their lives. The weight of the loss is great. However the beauty that comes out of the loss is greater. Women began sending me messages about their personal losses which made me feel less alone during a time I felt incredibly isolated. I was both comforted and saddened by how many women and their families had gone through the same loss we had.

This year, we want to honor our angel baby girl, Trinity by participating in the Angel Dash and raising funds to help support families in our area who are in need during their pregnancy and infant loss.
