My Story…
This November, during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, we’re coming together for a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts: our dad.
Our dad was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is now facing his second battle with cancer. While he would never ask for attention, help, or anything for himself, we want to do something special to show him just how loved he is and remind him that he doesn’t have to face this fight alone. But PLEASE, KEEP THIS A SECRET FROM HIM. If you would like to suprise Scott and walk together with us please reach out to Colleen or Natalie for details.
We’re organizing a team for the 2026 Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month 5K Turkey Trot to honor Scott, raise awareness for pancreatic cancer, and surround him with the love and support he deserves. This is our way of giving back to someone who has given so much to the people around him. We will walk, run, or crawl our way together or virtually.
If you know our dad, you know he is one of the most humble and kindhearted people you could meet. He’s the kind of person who will drop everything to help someone else, who can fix just about anything, and who never needs recognition for the things he does. He has spent so much of his life showing up for others, and now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Our dad is a private person, and he would probably be the first to tell us that none of this is necessary. That’s exactly why we want to surprise him. We want him to see his family and friends standing behind him, cheering him on, and reminding him that he is so much more than he realizes to so many people.
Every donation, every person who participates, and every share of this fundraiser helps us turn love into action. Our hope is to make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer while giving our dad a reminder of just how many people are in his corner.
This Turkey Trot is for our dad. For his strength, his kindness, his humble heart, and for all the ways he has helped others throughout his life. Now, we’re coming together to help carry him through this fight. Thank you for supporting our family, helping raise awareness, and being part of something that means more to us than words can express. We’re fighting together, one step at a time. Every step is for Scott.
