Endurance sports have taught me that strength is rarely built alone. Having someone believe in you, encourage you, and remind you of what you’re capable of can change the direction of your life. Big Brothers Big Sisters creates those life changing relationships by connecting young people with mentors who help them recognize their potential and pursue a bigger future.

As a Tampa student, athlete, and sister, this mission feels especially meaningful to me. My family has always lived by the phrase “Strength in Numbers,” and I can’t think of a better way to embody it than by using every mile to help a child feel supported, seen, and believed in.
