Help Mark raise money

I really don't understand how this fundraising update thing works...but I don't so I will just let everyone know what is going on. I am one week closer to getting this shoe off and progress to get back to running. 

Right now I am in Chicago watching my son Alex run the Chicago marathon. I am pretty jealous I am not running. Even if I had gotten in, my foot would have not allowed me to run. Lisa told me that Heavenly Father must have known and that is why I didn't draw out; I told her I could have just not drawn out and saved my foot. 

As I said last week, I like setting ambitious goals. During the week I did sign up for the Utah Valley Marathon which is in June. These Gasparilla races are key for my training for that marathon and the St George Marathon in October. 

Being here in Chicago makes me excited for the Gasparilla races...the race atmosphere is awesome. I am so looking forward to the challenge. Right now, I’m trying to not do too much on my broken foot. It doesn't hurt much and I am walking fine. I have the X-ray on the 20th and then we will see what happens. Just for everyone's information I am hoping to run all four of the Gasparilla races, the 15K and 5K on Saturday (February 20th) , followed by the Half Marathon and 8K on Sunday (February 21st). That’s more than 30 miles in one weekend and something I haven’t attempted in quite a while. I am also kicking around doing the 4x4x48 in March. That is 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 miles. I guess if I raise enough money I will do it. 

Along the way, I’m raising money for Friends of Tampa Recreation, helping support recreation programs and opportunities that improve quality of life and give people more ways to be active and connected in their community. Giving back is who I am and what I enjoy.
