WORK helps people in the poorest communities in the world lift themselves—and their families—out of poverty for good. We do whatever it takes to ensure the people we serve are healthy, housed, in school, and ultimately working in dignified, sustainable jobs.
Since 2010, when we started in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, we’ve served several thousand people in landfill and landfill-adjacent communities across 11 countries—helping individuals secure 9–5 jobs, strengthen already-functioning businesses in industries like waste collection, and launch new businesses of their own. We believe in a world where poverty doesn’t exist.
We also believe that giving should be a JOY.
That’s why we’re so proud to join Pittsburgh Marathon's Run For A Reason program. Run through the city's historic neighborhoods and iconic landmarks across your distance event of choice.
