My Story…
This year, I will be running the Pittsburgh Marathon with my friend MJ Alexander in memory of my mom, Meredith “Meri” Price, while raising money for Reading Is Fundamental Pittsburgh. My mom was a teacher for more than 30 years and cared deeply about education, reading, and helping young people discover their own potential.
Supporting an organization that provides books and literacy opportunities to children throughout Pittsburgh feels like a particularly meaningful way to honor her life and the impact she had on so many students. I am running this marathon in her memory and to carry forward something she believed in so deeply: that every child deserves access to the tools and opportunities that can help them learn, grow, build confidence, and shape their own future. I would be incredibly grateful for your support as I run in her name and help carry on her legacy.
