Friends of Kananaskis Country

The Friends of Kananaskis Country (FKC) is a registered charity that maintains and improves trails with volunteers throughout Kananaskis Country.   In 2026, FKC and its volunteers have worked over six thousand hours to improve trails in all five provincial parks and in public lands in K-Country.

Any donations to FKC from the K-100 will be directly used to fund our trail work.  All donations are appreciated and you will receive a tax receipt for donations over $25.00.

FKC was established in 1996 and is the only volunteer trail organization that works throughout Kananaskis.  Our website (www.kananaskis.org) is an excellent source of information about Kananaskis and you can find articles about the flora and fauna as well as information regarding recreational opportunities.

If you are interested, you can also sign-up to volunteer on our website (www.kananaskis.org).  It takes about 5 minutes to register as a volunteer and then you can sign up for one day, or more – it’s up to you!
