2.1 Miles. One Big Challenge. An Even Bigger Purpose. In August 2027, I’ll be taking on a challenge that is definitely outside my comfort zone—swimming 2.1 miles across Lake Superior as part of the Point to La Pointe Open Water Swim. For me, this is about so much more than just completing a swim. I wanted to set a goal that would push me physically and mentally and give me something meaningful to work toward. But what makes this challenge truly special is that I’ll be doing it alongside my daughter, best friend and her daughter. Training for and completing 2.1 miles in the waters of Lake Superior will be an adventure, a challenge, and hopefully an experience we’ll never forget. And the best part? Our miles will mean something beyond the finish line. This event is also an opportunity to give back and support the community.
