Help Murron raise money

I am a lifelong swimmer and lover of Lake Superior returning to the open water! I grew up as a swim club kid and was on my high school’s first ever girls swim team. I first pivoted into open water swimming around that time and competed in the Minocqua Island Swim Challenge & helped develop & participated in the MK Splash-n-Dash as my club team’s largest fundraiser. I went on to swim collegiately in Central Wisconsin for UWSP, and have continued to haunt various YMCA’s and rec pools around Wisconsin and Florida since then. I have been away from open water racing for almost 10 years and am excited to make my return! My mom swam Point to la Pointe in one of its earliest years, and as a love for Lake Superior runs deep in my family and myself, I always planned to come back for this race someday. I have spent many summers all along Lake Superior’s southern shore and swimming in its icy, clear waters and am now ready for the crossing. P2LP has become one of the biggest open water races across the States, supporting the community of Bayfield year-round with recreation, fitness, and outdoor opportunities and access-- often so difficult in small towns and communities.
