My Story…
This will be my first Point to La Pointe and I'm equal parts excited and trepidatious. I struggled with swimming when very young, but once it clicked, I loved it. Then I grew up, life got in the way, and I didn't swim for longer than I'd like to admit. I picked it up again and discovered I enjoy the challenge of open water swimming even more than the pool. You never know what the lake will bring. Will it be tranquil and calm, challengingly choppy, or somewhere in the middle? Yes please, to all. I'm not fast, I'm tenacious; my technique isn't going to win any beauty contests, but I'm pretty strong and I look forward to testing myself in August 2027. I'm proud to fundraise for the Bayfield Rec Center. These days we need healthy outlets and community more than ever, and I'm happy to do what I can to support their programs.
