I’m excited to run Grandma’s Marathon in 2027 in partnership with the Foster Hope Scholarship Fund!

Foster Hope was established in memory of a little boy who spent time in foster care and tragically lost his life to domestic abuse following reunification with his family. His story is a heartbreaking reminder of the challenges vulnerable children can face and the importance of surrounding them with love, support, and hope.

The Foster Hope Scholarship Fund supports current and former foster youth who want to pursue higher education after high school. The fund also helps with practical needs, such as first and last month’s rent, to ease the transition to independent living.

As a former foster parent, I believe deeply in the importance of caring for vulnerable children and helping them recognize their worth and potential. I believe every young person deserves to know they are valued, that their past does not define their future, and that there is hope for the road ahead.
