I'm Running to Transform Lives Through Mentorship!
Mentoring has been one of the biggest parts of my life over the past several years. Starting in college and continuing through the last five years, I've volunteered as a mentor to high school students. Most of it has been pretty simple: showing up to their games and events, grabbing food, hanging out every week, and being a consistent adult in their corner. But I've seen firsthand how much that consistency matters, especially when kids are working through hard seasons at home or school. Some of those relationships have turned into friendships that are still going years later, and honestly, I've gotten as much out of it as they have.
That's a big reason Mentor North's mission resonates with me. Every young person deserves someone who shows up for them, and I'd love to use this race as a way to support that work and help raise funds and awareness.
Description
I’m running my 2027 Grandma’s Marathon race to support Mentor North! This amazing nonprofit connects young people in Duluth and Superior with mentors who help build confidence, resilience, and belonging. Youth, mentors, and families also gain meaningful community connections through Mentor North’s programming. Every dollar you give helps create and sustain life-changing relationships. I’m so grateful for your support. Thank you for cheering me on and making a difference for youth and families in the Twin Ports community!
