Established in 1910, AdventHealth Hendersonville (AHH) is a critical healthcare provider in Western North Carolina, committed to serving underserved and vulnerable populations. Serving nine counties across WNC, AHH’s mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ by providing compassionate, comprehensive healthcare to all, especially those in rural and underserved communities. AHH’s services consist of a comprehensive range of healthcare specialties, including but not limited to women’s health, behavioral health, cancer care, cardiology and orthopedics.

AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation is launching its Everybody Has a Story Campaign to support the expansion of whole-person centered mammography services across Western North Carolina.

The second leading cause of death in women, nationally – the women of North Carolina are facing higher than national average rates of breast cancer incidence and mortality. In 2025, over 13,000 women in North Carolina alone were expected to receive a breast cancer diagnosis– and nearly 1600 women were expected to die from the disease.

In response to this community-wide need, AdventHealth Hendersonville is expanding its women’s cancer and imaging services. This campaign will see AHH:

• Deepen its environment of caring with the addition of a private, patient consultation room for 1:1 results delivery
• Increase timely access to initial diagnostic and biopsy care services with the addition of a second 3D mammography unit
• More compassionately integrate imaging and cancer care services with program oversight and patient navigation by a dedicated Breast Care Coordinator
