Richmond Food Bank

The Richmond Food Bank serves over 1,100 families each week. They strive to create a community where no one goes hungry. We serve more than 2,800 people each week. For every $1 donated, we are able to distribute $7 worth of food (based on 2022 data). We distributed 750,000 kg of food (2023 data) to our clients and community partners. 

The Richmond Food Bank’s Grocery Distribution program is available to help Richmond residents who are experiencing financial difficulties. We work on the honour system, without an income or means test. The food we offer has been donated by the community to help people in need.

Kids and teens need nutritious food to grow, be healthy, and to effectively learn at school. Yet too many Richmond students go to school hungry. In partnership with the Richmond School District, we’re helping to address this need by supporting food and meal programs in Richmond schools.
