My Story…
Why my team is call Stronger Together? In my first year of college I learned to run. Running was a form of relieving my stress and clearing my head. I enjoyed it and wanted to always run fast. But now its not about speed, I run because it’s something I want to do to improve my health and encourage others around me to get out there and to get their body moving. In 2025, when I ran my first Icebreaker event, I was recovering from a serious car accident. I was unsure if my body was going to be ready for the race. But, I took it a day at a time, and sometimes I just walked instead of running. The real reason I made it through my race was because I had such an amazing support system in my recovery. The people behind me made me stronger. When you are running, you are not alone. Whether it’s a life goal you are chasing or running an actual race.... there are people on the sidelines cheering you on and encouraging you when you are running. This is what makes us Stronger Together!
Description
The skills kids learn through sports are carried with them throughout their lives, but across BC kids are being left on the sidelines because they don't have the resources to play. KidSport—with support from generous donors—helps remove those barriers by providing grants for families in financial need to help cover the cost of registration fees.
Your donation will help fund a season of sport for a child in need. Help get more kids off the sidelines and into the game. Donate today #SoALLKidsCanPlay.
