As these are guaranteed entries (versus lottery, Wanda Age Group, etc), the Copenhagen Half Marathon will not refund, defer or allow for a cancellation under any circumstance. Purchasing applicable insurance (see below) and cancelling for an insurable reason will prevent you from losing your deposit and payments and will cover these fees as well.
Fee Schedule
If you cancel and we can resell your package, the following fees will apply:
15% of what you have paid if cancelling 120 days or more prior to registration closing
25% of what you have paid if cancelling between 14 and 119 days prior to registration closing
50% of what you have paid if cancelling 13 days or les prior to registration closing
100% of what you have paid if cancelling after registration has closed or at any time if we are unable to resell your package.
Terms & Conditions: To view our terms and conditions, click here.
The difference between what you paid and the fee listed above will be held as a credit for you for 24 months from the time you made your last payment for this particular package. Credits may only be used for trips/packages listed on our website.
Registration is expected to close in (Expected to be late June 2027).
Why We Charge Fees
We purchase guaranteed Copenhagen Half Marathon entries in advance at significant cost, and they are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a participant cancels, we must find a replacement, process the transfer, pay applicable change and banking fees, and dedicate staff time to re-advertise and re-register the entry. As a result, a cancellation fee is required to offset these costs.
Purchasing applicable insurance (see below) and cancelling for an insurable reason will prevent you from losing your deposit.
Insurance
This is well worth the 30 second read! Save yourself thousands!
With paid insurance, you may submit a claim for eligible insurable reasons, including running injuries while training! Claims require a doctor's letter and supporting documentation and are subject to review and approval by the insurance provider's evaluator. For even greater flexibility, you may be able to purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage with select policies. To qualify, CFAR coverage generally must be purchased within 72 hours of making your initial trip deposit and is subject to the insurer's eligibility requirements and terms.
Note: Many credit cards often provide limited trip cancellation coverage and may not be sufficient for the full cost of your trip or your reason.
Our group ManuLife Travel Insurance Packages (available only to Canadians) include medical only or full coverage including the following:
Cancel For Any Reason coverage*
Trip cancelation
Trip interruption
Full medical
Baggage
