Prairie Inn Harriers Running Club —

Established in 1978, PIH focuses on:

Supporting the development of public participation in running for enjoyment and health.
Organizing and promoting participation in running events and increasing public awareness in running programs.
Encouraging participation in running for fitness, fun and competition.

Club membership details

The Individual membership fee is $25 for adults, and $7 for youth/student.
For Family memberships the uplift fee is $10 payable with the first additional member – subsequent members are free.
Memberships are for one calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
New members are welcome to join at any point through the year.
Annual membership fees for returning members are due by January 31 of each year.
If you join the club (or rejoin after several years away) in the last quarter of the the year (October, November or December), your membership carries over to the next year as well. Please choose a next year's membership package.
(Current and prospective) members that register for the upcoming (2026) Island Race Series and declare the Harriers as their club as confirmed on the IRS participant list, are entitled to receive a free PIH membership for the year, as are PIH Lifetime members. If your name doesn't yet appear on the current Harriers Membership List shown on the PIH website, please contact registrar at pih.bc.ca.
Your membership fee is payable in Canadian funds.
VISA, MC, Amex, and Discover Card are accepted.
Your credit card statement will show a charge from Race Roster for your registration.
Race Roster applies a not insignificant (perhaps 7.33% plus $2.09 per costing member) online processing fee to all non-zero payments. To avoid, you can pre-pay your membership fees to Gary or another board member by cheque or cash. You can also EFT the funds to payments@pih.bc.ca noting the membership type(s) and for whom in the message. As we encourage as many members as possible to register online so the Race Roster database is complete with current contact details, etc, we will provide you a full value Promo Code so no further payment or fees are required. Also handy if you later want PIH membership discounts at club races using Race Roster, such as Gunner Shaw and Stewart Mountain.

What's Included:

Club members may receive a 10% discount on purchases from participating local running stores, discounts on participating race entry fees, subsidized club uniforms, travel assistance, entry fees and, most importantly, the chance to participate in some of the Harriers-hosted activities in the running community including running races, running on club teams, organizing races, supporting races with volunteers and equipment, organizing and conducting running clinics, group training sessions and enjoying club social events.
