After a hugely successful debut in 2025, the Southern Rail Trail returns for its second year — bigger, bolder, and ready to inspire runners once again.
Embark on a breathtaking journey along the historic Great Southern Rail Trail, winding through Victoria’s stunning Gippsland region. From lush forests and rolling farmland to iconic trestle bridges, this scenic course combines natural beauty, heritage, and community spirit.
Choose your distance — 100km, 72km, 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km, 5km, or 2km — with options for every runner, from seasoned ultra athletes to families chasing a fun day out.
It’s a must-do running event for 2027 — challenging, inspiring, and unforgettable.
