The O’Keefe Challenge

Join us and follow the spectacular O’Keefe Rail Trail near Heathcote, as it weaves its way through bushland, open fields, farms and past Lake Eppalock.
RUNNING EVENTS:
- Our signature event: the 42.2km Marathon, presented by Mandalay Resources,
- A point-to-point Half Marathon, presented by Fosterville Gold Mine
- A 10km Fun Run,
- 5km fun run / walk against dementia, presented by Connallys Real Estate
- a 1km Kids Dash, and
- a 500 metre junior superhero dash.
RELAYS:
- 42.2km Ekiden Six-Person Teams Relay
- 21.1km Mini-Eki Six-Person Teams Relay
NIGHT RIDE:
- PLUS join our Social night ride on Saturday 29th April
The O’Keefe Challenge is more than just a race, fun run or bike ride – it celebrates fitness, nature and the community spirit of the Heathcote and Bendigo region.
We also raise funds for the Heathcote Dementia Alliance, which promises to be game-changer in the way we look after and care for people living with dementia.
NEW Relay Registration Process
There is a new Registration process for Relay teams in 2023. Team Captain must submit or edit the names as details for all team members.
This can either be done during the initial registration or edited at a later date.
The individual Team Members are not required to complete any registration or sign-up form. It is the responsibility of the Team Captain to communicate with their team about the event details.
