2024 Karri Valley Triathlon

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ENTRY TO THIS EVENT

1. Wetsuits
Triathlon Australia-approved wetsuits are compulsory for all age group competitors in long and short course events. If you do not have access to a wetsuit please contact the Event Manager at stadiumtri.kvt@gmail.com. Loan wetsuits can be made available on the day of the event however the size range may be limited.

Normal Triathlon Australia wetsuit rules apply for open competitors. Participants in the kid’s triathlon on Sunday do not require a wetsuit.

2. Changes to entries
Should you wish to change your entry from one event to another, please email the Event Manager at stadiumtri.kvt@gmail.com. All changes and cancellations will incur a $10.00 administration fee.

For long to short course changes, the difference in registration fee will be refunded (minus the $10.00 admin fee). Note that a change from short to long course may require us to cancel your short course registration and for you to complete a new long course registration subject to availability and wait list considerations.

Changes to entries will be permitted until 9:00pm AWST Friday 8 March 2024.

3. Entries closing and waitlist
Entries for this event will close at 9:00pm AWST Friday 8 March 2024 or when the field limit is reached.

Should the field limit be reached a limited wait list may be implemented for long course, short course or both at the discretion of the event organiser. Registration for the wait list will require payment of your entry fee in full up front, with a full refund (less credit card processing fee) should you not be offered a place in the start list.

Should you be offered a place in the start list from the waitlist and decline it, or withdraw from the waitlist, your entitlement to a refund will be in accordance with the refund policy in 4 (ii) below.

Further details of waitlisting conditions will be advertised at the time a waitlist is enacted.

4. Withdrawals and refund policy
Should you wish to withdraw from the event please email the Event Manager at stadiumtri.kvt@gmail.com with your withdrawal request.

(i) Refund policy – COVID 19

Should this event be cancelled due to COVID-19, your registration will be carried over to the 2025 event. Alternatively, a full refund (less administration & credit card processing fee) will be provided upon request.

Stadium Triathlon Club will keep participants updated on any COVID-19 developments that affect the event in line with any directions provided by Triathlon Australia and the WA and Federal Governments.

(ii) Refund policy – all other refunds

Refunds will be allowed in accordance with the table below.

No refunds will be provided after 5:00pm AWST Friday, 1 March 2024 under any circumstances and your full entry fee will be forfeited.

Notification of your intention to withdraw from the event must be made via email to stadiumtri.kvt@gmail.com.

Your entry cannot be transferred to another person or credited toward future events.

5. One-day license fees
If you are not a member of Triathlon Australia you will be charged a one-day license fee in accordance with Triathlon Australia policy. This fee is collected with your entry fee and forwarded to Triathlon Western Australia.

All team members must be Triathlon Australia members to avoid the Triathlon Australia one day license fee. If a one-day license fee is applicable it will be charged only once per team.

6. Kid’s Triathlon
The Karri Valley Triathlon Kids Triathlon will be held on Sunday 17 March 2024 and is open to children aged:

• 7-9 years (short course - 100m swim / 2km bike / 500m run), and
• 10-13 years (long course - 200m swim / 4km bike / 1km run).

Wetsuits are not required for this event.
