Many individuals face significant barriers, such as high costs, long waiting times, and limited availability of services. These obstacles prevent people from receiving the help they need, often exacerbating their struggles and impacting their overall well-being. By supporting affordable mental health care, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, has the opportunity to access the necessary resources and support.
Oakwell’s Movement for Mental Health seeks to unite our community, fostering solidarity and understanding while combating the stigma surrounding mental health. Through this event, we aim to shine a light on the importance of accessible mental health services, ensuring that everyone in our community has the support they need. Join us as we walk, run or roll together in a supportive, family-friendly atmosphere, promoting empathy, awareness, and access to vital resources for mental well-being.
Event Details
- 2.5 km fun run: Single loop of the scenic trail at Pinafore Park.
- 2.5km walk or roll: Be a part of the movement, and join us for a run, walk, roll along the scenic 2.5 km loop within Pinafore Park.
Activities: The event will feature mental health resource booths and mental health related activities, as well as outdoor games, and colouring stations for kids. Bring a picnic and enjoy the scenic fall landscape.
Family & Team Discount: When registering a group of five or more, a 20% discount will be automatically applied to each participant. This discount ensures that the fifth member registers for free, making it more affordable for families and teams to join together and support the cause!
