16th Annual Oktoberfest Run

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Family Rate for 3 people in the same family is $85. Add $10 for each additional person in the same family (eg. 4 people = $95, 5 people = $105, etc).

Deadline For Mail In or Drop Off entries is Tuesday, October 9. After that date,

entries will be accepted on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at the times listed below.

NOTE: All individual and team categories are for both events (10 KM & 5 KM)

9:30 a.m. Starting at Conestoga Mall and finishing at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (WMRC).

Directions to WMRC: From Hwy #401, take Hwy #8 West to Hwy #85 Waterloo to Bridgeport Rd. W. to Caroline St. to Erb St. W. to Father David Bauer Dr.

Directions to Conestoga Mall: From Hwy #401 take Hwy #8 West to Hwy #85 Waterloo to 550 King St. N. in Waterloo (look for the signs for the Mall).

Note: We recommend that participants park at WMRC and take the shuttle bus to the start at Conestoga Mall. Shuttle buses begin at 7:30 a.m. The last shuttle bus leaves at 8:50 a.m.

There are no shuttle buses after the race to take participants back to Conestoga Mall.

Can be picked up at Conestoga Mall on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at the Registration times listed above.

• Runner’s gear will be transported from the start line at Conestoga Mall to the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex (WMRC) and stored in a supervised area. Gear must be picked up by 11:30 a.m. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen articles.
• First Aid, change facilities and showers are available at WMRC.
• Each KM is marked and is clearly visible.
• Times will be called at the Mile and 5 KM marks.
• Water Stations: 1 on the 5 KM course / 3 on the 10 KM course
• Courses are certified distances.

Following your run, enjoy barbecued hot dogs and sausages, fresh fruit, and bagels – all free with your entry! Live musical entertainment, massage and draw prizes will also precede the awards ceremony.

For both the 10 KM & 5 KM events.

Awards will be presented to the:

• top 3 Male and Female, Overall & Masters (age 40 ).
• top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age and weight category.
• 1st place team in each Team Category.

Prize Money for the top 3 Males and Female, Overall and Masters (age 40 ):

• 1st - $100
• 2nd - $75
• 3rd - $50

Everyone is eligible for hundreds of dollars of merchandise, as well as the Grand Prize Draw:

$250 Cash

Winners must be present to claim prizes.

CORPORATE:

Entry Fee is $30 per person, and each team must raise a minimum $500 in pledges.

Prizes for the top 3 corporate teams collecting the highest amount in pledges are:

• 1st Place - a $750 gift certificate for a team party at Montana's Cookhouse
• 2nd Place - a $350 gift certificate for gourmet boxed lunches from EVO Kitchen
• 3rd Place - a pizza party

SCHOOL:

Entry Fee is $25 per person, and each team must raise a minimum $500 in pledges.

Prizes for the top 3 school teams collecting the highest amount in pledges are:

• 1st Place – a $500 gift certificate to the store of your choice
• 2nd Place – 25 specially crested t-shirts
• 3rd Place – a pizza party

Grand Prize: For the individual collecting the most pledges by race day – beautiful T-Shirt Quilt and a free entry to The 2013 Oktoberfest Run.

Prizes for the next top 4 Individuals: $100 Conestoga Mall Gift Card, Saucony Jazz Running Shoes and a free entry to The 2013 Oktoberfest Run.

Free Saucony Shoes! Each individual collecting a minimum $500 in pledges will receive a pair of Saucony Jazz Running Shoes (retail value $119.95)

Computerized timing and race results by Thames Timing. Results will be available race day, and after the race at the Runners’ Choice store and on the following websites:
