After Party Details
There will be an after party located within the Holland Bloorview property , which will take place before, during and after the races have been completed! There will be plenty of food and drink along with great entertainment to celebrate.
No need to worry about dinner, our generous sponsors and suppliers have it all covered. Visit the cafeteria after your race and runners (of legal drinking age) will enjoy a complimentry beer from our friends at Amsterdam Brewery who will be opening up their new Brewery right in the heart of Leaside. Aspen Ridge Homes who are building the incredible Scenic condos right on Elginton and Leslie have generously donated a private chef, Catering by Sandro to prepare healthy salads for all runners. Panago Pizza in Leaside will be providing pizza slices for everyone.
We also have our friends from Cobs Bakery in Leaside supplying our runners with delicious scones and apricot rolls, Longos will be supplying water and fruit, Oasis Juice will have juice boxes, and runners can come sample some delicious smoothies from Naked Juice.
We will also have our fantastic sponsor Salomon Toronto whose store hosting race kit pick up, they will also be onsite to let runners try on some merchandise, and try on any pair of Salomon shoes and run the race in them!! Salomon Toronto will also have a photo area on site to capture the best Halloween outfits.
Also come visit our friends from Good Life who will have a fun booth to entertain our runners.
Course
Both 5 and 10km runners/walkers start on Kilgour Road facing east, at Rumsey (in front of hospital). Runners pass through Toronto Rehab property, the Cemetary of Dead Races and down infamous "Horrible Hospital Hill" into Sunnybrook Park, over the Spooky Bridge and onto the main road of the park.
Caution! This is a sharp, steep hill that is extremely dark and who knows what lurks in the trees here.
The 5km runners will turn around in parking lot 4 and return the same way they started, over the Spooky Bridge and back up "Hospital Hill". The 10km runners veer into Serena Gundy Park, over the rickety bridge, up the small set of stairs (please watch step, Marshalls will be here). A small, dark and scary loop of Serena Gundy park brings the 10km runners back onto the Main Road. Headed South, 10km runners will enjoy a fairly dark and lonely route (scary) under Eglinton and the CN Rail bridge (that could collapse anytime so be careful)! Crossing 3 more bridges that contain dynamite so be quick when crossing......
Past the Haunted Science Centre, 10km runners will turn around and use the north route to return where they came, this is where there is a water station that will also include music from the Ghastly Beats. Picking up the lost souls (slow) 5km runners and head back over the Spooky Bridge and up the Horrible Hospital Hill. Extra Caution....if you are caught walking up this hill you risk being caught by any Zombies who strayed from the Zombie Zone.
Both 5 and 10km runners thankfully just have just 1.5 km's to go (the last mile of your life as it were). You will re-pass the Cemetary of Dead races and then enter the Zombie zone in behind the Toronto Rehab centre (where they escaped from). If you survive the Zombie Zone you then have to navigate the same section of the Spooky Mile that faced the kids, including the Pumpkin Patch and other nasty surprises. The entire route is on pavement except for this 500 meter section which will feel soft underfoot. This is actually a long ago burial ground covered with the rotting corpses of many Leaside residents who failed to pay their hefty property taxes.
Please be careful in this section as it is Dark and beside the Haunted Forest where more Zombies may have strayed into.

Directions
Coming from the North:
Go south on DVP and take the exit to Eglinton Ave. Make a right onto Eglinton Ave. E. Travel west on Eglinton Ave E and make a right onto Bayview Avenue. You will see Kilgour Road on your right hand side, you can also take any street earlier either on Eglinton or Bayview and find a sidestreet to park on.
Coming from the West:
Take the 401 East and exit on Bayview Avenue. Take Bayview Ave South (if you reach Sheppard or Finch you went the wrong way). Keep going south for 3 km’s, look for Kilgour Road on your left, opposite the Cemetary.
Coming from the East:
Take the 401 West and exit on Bayview Avenue. Take Bayview Ave South (if you reach Sheppard or Finch you went the wrong way). Keep going south for 3 km’s, look for Kilgour Road on your left, opposite the Cemetary.
Coming from Downtown:
Take either Mount Pleasant or the Bayview extension from downtown and follow the same directions as above, cab fare is approx $25 from most downtown locations, we suggest car pooling and having the person not wearing a full on costume driving the car.
Public Transportation from Union:
Go Northbound on the Yonge Line, exit at Eglinton, take one of many buses EAST to Bayview Avenue, if you are a runner you should be able to walk or jog north a few blocks, if we see you waiting for a bus to go 500 yards you might want to reconsider running a 5 or 10km event just now. Spectate and drink beer instead.
Public Transportation from Finch Avenue:
Ditto above only take the subway SOUTH, but since it does not run NORTH you should be okay.
Public Transportation from Scarborough:
This is really scary, and we don’t know if you will survive so Good Luck!
By Air:
For out of town guests, ghouls and goblins, of course Porter Airlines is your choice unless you are coming from North Dakota. If you really are a witch, ample parking is available on the roof of Holland Bloorview.
