The fifth annual Race to End World Hunger at the Sunnyvale Baylands will be run on Sunday, October 20! As before, the race will start and finish in the Sunnyvale Baylands Park. The event includes a 5K run/walk, 10K, and a 1K Kids Fun Run. Both the 5k and 10K scenic courses have spectacular views and are on flat courses run mostly through the marsh lands on a mix of levee dirt and paved roads.
All participants are invited to run in costume and participate in other Halloween related activities. Look for tricks or treats at the venue or on the course.
World Runners of Silicon Valley is a local chapter of World Runners, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization, with a mission to end hunger and poverty in the world. We raise funds in support of this mission by putting on races and running for pledges. The funds raised by this event will support the charitable program of World Runners. Some of the beneficiaries of the program have been the Meals on Wheels Program of the Health Trust of Silicon Valley, locally, and in thrid World countries innovative charitable organizations focused on the education of young women in Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan and microcredit.
