Now runners from near and far, fast and not so fast, can run a Double Road Race (10k + 5k) in this Bay Area paradise. The course begins at the College of Marin, Indian Valley campus, in Novato, Calif., and it provides a quiet, rustically beautiful tour through the golden hills and giant oaks governing the area, although the course is basically flat.
Novato itself features a combination of crisp air and beautiful, rich lands in a locale where the breeze from San Francisco flows in, reminding residents of the close proximity of the City by the Bay.
The Recovery Zone at the College of Marin campus for this race will actually include a swimming pool, so for this Double at least the sequence of events for the competitors, if that’s what they choose, could be run, swim, run. Sounds almost decadent, doesn’t it?
