On October 5, 2013, there will be a 5k Walk-N-Roll for Morgan Blawn. Also we will be sharing more about Spina Bifida. We want to raise funds for Morgan and her family for the future medical, lodging and travel expenses that lay ahead. The goal is to raise $15,000 for Morgan who will be living with the challenges caused by Spina Bifida. The personal goal is to fundraise to help this family who lives here locally, in Fort Wayne, IN. I hope you’ll help us reach this goal! I realize that money might be tight, but every little bit helps us reach this goal.
Spina Bifida is the most common permanently disabling birth defect in the United States. Spina Bifida literally means “split spine.” Spina Bifida happens when a baby is in the womb and the spinal column does not close all of the way. Every day, about eight babies born in the United States have Spina Bifida or a similar birth defect of the brain and spine.
If you would like to learn more about Spina Bifida, www.spinabifidaassociation.org is a great resource that has helped answer a lot of questions.
$25 is registration and FREE shirt and $30 at the day of race. There will be a raffle that will follow right after the walk. You will get a chance to win some awesome prizes.
Join us in taking steps and rolling forward for a brighter tomorrow for Morgan who will be living with Spina Bifida. Help us help her living with Spina Bifida.
