In 2013, the tradition will continue with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals being awarded to male and female runners for the 5km and 10km events. 

Sports Association Challenge

A challenge created to spark the interest of athletes, their families and friends to participate in the 26th Annual Rotary Fun Run/Walk. In return and with thanks, prize money will be awarded to the local Sports Association with the 1st,2nd and 3rdlargest numbers of entries.

Race Day Schedule

Wednesday May 29th , South Shore Centre, 205 Lakeshore Dr., Barrie

     4:00pm – 6:15pm On-Site Registration and Race Kit pick-up

     5:00pm – 10:00pm Food & Refreshments (licensed, inside South Shore Centre )

     6:10pm – Kid’s Run start

     6:30pm – Race start, run or walk

     8:00pm – Live Band: BUNKER (inside South Shore Centre)

     8:30pm – Awards

     9:00pm – Grand Prize Draw -- 50” Flat Screen TV from Costco! 

Course Details

The 2012 event will be along the Lakeshore drive for runners and the paved shore walking routes for the walkers. All runners and walkers, start and finish at the Southshore Center.

The Rotary Club of Barrie Annual Fun Run/Walk is an important community event and all funds raised by the event will be used to support local community and environmental projects, as well as Rotary International projects.
